London is indeed a vibrant city with lots of attractions, landmarks and spots not to be missed. Especially the fashionable district Notting Hill is one of my favourite districts in all of London.
It’s an iconic neighbourhood with an extraordinary amount of character and home to the famous Portobello Road Market. Whether ticking off sights or simply exploring randomly, it’s difficult not to fall for its charms.
What I like the best about Notting Hill is all the colours and how differently every house and corner look. On weekends throughout the year, you can stroll the two-mile stretch of Portobello Road Market and find lots of antiques, vintage clothes, handmade jewellery and historic pubs.
The market has a buzzing atmosphere, helped by regular live entertainment, so I suggest you also take a walk around the streets of Portobello Road. Here you’ll discover colourful houses, cute cafés and beautiful flower shops.
For my days exploring Notting Hill, I opted for comfortable yet chic outfits. Lots of colourful dresses (matching the vivid scenery) combined with comfy sneakers and a cross-body bag - the ideal get-up for a city break.
